The Rose Room at the YBMKQ De'Avry A. Thomas Community Center is a therapeutic art studio dedicated to honoring the life and legacy of Antwon Rose II. This vibrant and welcoming space was created to inspire healing, creativity, and self-expression for youth and families in our community.

The Rose Room offers a safe environment where individuals can process emotions, navigate trauma, and discover their voice through the power of art. Inspired by Antwon’s love for poetry, art, and social justice, the studio serves as both a tribute and a transformative outlet. Through guided workshops, open studio sessions, and community art initiatives, The Rose Room empowers participants to turn pain into purpose, foster resilience, and build connections. It is a place where creativity becomes a tool for healing, where stories are shared, and where hope is cultivated.

By investing in The Rose Room, funders like The Pittsburgh Foundation: Advancing Black Arts Fund supports a vital resource that nurtures emotional well-being, uplifts youth voices, and strengthens the fabric of our community through the arts.
